The body of a man,  Damilola Ibitokun, has been found hanging from a tree in Ero town in the Ifedore Local Government Area, Ondo stat

The Punch reports that the family member were dismayed as they couldn’t fathom why he committed suicide.

Muibat Ibitokun, the wife of the deceased revealed that on that fateful day, he said he was going to sleep at home even though they had been passing the night in their church.

“He and I have been sleeping in our church. But on Tuesday, he told me that he wanted to sleep at home. So I left for the church alone. At about 1am, he came to the church. .

“Later, he went back home; but in the morning of Wednesday, our neighbours told me that they could not find him. We reported the matter at the police station and later we went into the bush where we found him hanging. “

Ayomide Ibitokun, the son of the deceased said he had seen his father with a knife and rope but was unaware of what he planned to do with it.

Muibat said her husband was gentle and had no reason to have taken his own life.

Meanwhile,popular prophet, Destiny Onwudinjo of Heaven Divine Ministry in Shasha, Lagos who was sentenced to seven years imprisonment, committed suicide inside Kirikiri Prison.
