The police in Kogi state have announced the killing of Aliyu Musa, a suspected kidnapper in the abduction of a judge
The deceased was a prime suspect in the kidnapping of Justice Samuel Obayomi, a high court judge.

Daily Trust reports that the Judge was later freed but his police orderly was killed.
The deceased who was popularly known by the nickname, Osama was said to have escaped from a prison and was on the wanted list of the police force for a long time.
Samuel Ogunjimilusi, the state commissioner for police gave this information during the parading of 14 other suspects. He explained that Musa was on a revenge spree to kill everyone who had a hand in his conviction. He was said to have gone with another gang member to kill a filling station manager and another worker.
“Osama had been on the wanted list after a jail break from the Koton-Karfe Prison where he was to serve his term for criminal conspiracy and armed robbery after being sentenced to 10 years and 15 years respectively, to run concurrently”

Musa was gunned down by officers of the police force during a gun battle.
Meanwhile, Segun Omoto, a 30-year-old man, was arrested and charged before an Ejigbo court for kidnapping his own daughter, aged four.
