With the second stanza of the Nigeria Premier League kicking off this weekend, Naij.com presents two players who top the goal scoring chart in the league.
Tosin Adeniji, who plays for table toppers, Sunshine Stars of Akure and Bright Ejike, the star man for Heartland Football club of Owerri, are the top scorers so far in the 20-week -old Nigeria Premier league.

Ejike who finished the first stanza of the league season with 11 goals scored so far, is in his third season for the Heartland FC.
Known for his goalscoring prowess after scoring a total of 12 goals for his team the last season, Ejike has broken the goal-scoring records in the club as the only player to ever score 11 goals in the first stanza of a league season.
Tunde Adeniji, a Super Eagles invitee, may soon play for the senior national team
Tunde Adeniji, 19, on the other hand, also scored a total of 11 goals at the end of the first stanza of the ongoing 2014/15 league season for his club Sunshine Stars FC.
The former Rising Stars forward, was invited to the U20 Flying Eagles team by Coach Manu Garba last year where he scored two goals in three matches.

And most recently, he was invited to the Super Eagles team by Stephen Keshi, a former Super Eagles Coach but is yet to debut for the senior national team.
Sunshine FC recently continued its home record as it came back from a goal down to beat Taraba FC 2-1 at the Akure Township stadium in Ondo state.
