Femi Adesina, the presidential spokesman, has said in a statement that the president, who was due back in Abuja on Thursday, would also undertake a one-day trip to Benin Republic on Saturday for talks with President Yayi.

The visit, he said, would be used to round-off Buhari’s diplomatic shuttles to neighbouring countries, which he embarked upon on taken of office to fortify regional collaboration against insurgency and make it much harder for Boko Haram to operate across national boundaries.

It would be recalled that Yayi had visited Abuja, together with the presidents of Chad and Niger, after Buhari’s swearing-in for a security summit on the creation of a multinational force against the Boko Haram.

Buhari has already visited 6 countries to ask help for the fight against insurgency and corruption.
