Probe: Read What Imams Have To Say To President Buhari

The council of Imams in Kaduna have shown their support towards the effort made by President Muhammadu Buhari to recover Nigeria’s stolen assets.



This was made known in a resolution passed by the council in its annual conference on Sunday, August 30.


The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Alhaji Baban Tuni and Yusuf Arrigasyyu, the chairman and secretary general of the council respectively, presented the resolution in which the president’s anti-corruption effort was considered laudable.

“Therefore, it is compulsory to retrieve the people’s right from corrupt and selfish persons.


“The Council is urging the government to do justice to the culprits according to the provisions of the law.


“The Council also feels delighted and appreciative of the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari in its effort to wipe out insurgency and other terrorists acts from Nigeria.


“The Council equally observes that some progress and successes have been recorded at various levels within few months of this administration.’’


Tuni added that the council was impressed with the recall of the dismissed soldiers by the Nigerian army who were accused of insubordination, treason and various other charges. The council however urged the president and other political office holders to fulfill their campaign promises.

“We call on all Nigerians to remain steadfast and continuously pray for the sustenance of our country and we pray that Allah help our leaders to be just and truthful”.


Meanwhile, President Buhari was accused by PDP chieftain of giving the north better preference at the expense of the south and west.
