The Lagos state Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the appointment of 19 Permanent Secretaries in the state’s public service.

The appointments are in line with his bid to restructure the civil service for efficient performance and effective service.
Governor Ambode also approved the retirement of 15 Permanent Secretaries.

In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Habib Aruna, on Monday, August 3, the administration said the new Permanent Secretaries have been channeled across board in the new structure of the civil service.
According to Daily Independent, the new Permanent Secretaries are Bamgboye Abiodun, Dapo-Thomas Aderemi, Ariyo Olabisi, Adekanye Adebunmi Elizabeth; Bode Agoro; Dr. Ayandele Abiose; Dr. Sodeinde Ibironke; Odeyemi Adesina; and Odulana Olufunmilayo.
Others include Onisarotu Jemil, Engr. Bade-Adebowale Caster, Amosu Ayodele, Kadiri Adebisi, Anifowoshe Abiola, Adeyemi Anthony; Dr. Oduwole Elizabeth, Mustapha Olorunfemi, Odunlami Adesola, and Odupitan James Olusola.

The Daily Independent reports that they will be sworn into office at Lagos House, Alausa, on Wednesday, August 5, 2015.
Meanwhile, Governor of Lagos state, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has postponed the setting up of his cabinet to September. The House of Assembly gave credence to the unavailability of the list when the lawmakers adjourned till September 7 for plenary.
The adjournment means that the lawmakers would be on recess during this period.
