See When Senate Are To Screen Service Chiefs

The senate has announced that the newly appointed service chiefs will be screened on Thursday.




This was made known in Abuja while the senate president, Bukola Saraki made the announcement at the commencement of the plenary on Wednesday.


Mr Saraki urged the lawmakers to attend the plenary as early as 10am for the screening.


In addition, he announced the constitution of four committees which include the Rules and Business Committee,ad-hoc Committee on Publicity, Senate Selection Committee and the Ethics and Privileges Committee.

He went further to state the responsiblities of each of the committee. The 18-member Senate Selection Committee whichi is headed by Sen. Ibrahim Gobir (APC Sokoto East) is in charge of coordinating the other committees


The Rules and Business Committee to be headed by Sen. Babajide Omoworare (APC Osun East) and the Senate Leader Sen. Ali Ndume as deputy with sven other members including Sen. Kabir Marafa (APC Zamfara Central.

The five-man ad-hoc Committee on Publicity will be headed by Sen. Dino Melaye (APC Kogi West) including Sen. Ben Bruce (APC Bayelsa East) as part of the members.


Lastly, the 11 members Ethics and Privileges Committee is to be headed by Sen. Samuel Anyanwu (APC Imo east) and Sen. Ibn Na’Allah as the Deputy.
