President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick on Tuesday led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the Ambassador of Germany to Nigeria, Mr Dietmar Kreusel in hopes of building a better understanding with the German FA.

According to the NFF boss, Nigeria is hoping to follow Germany’s model in developing football from youth level in Nigeria. Pinnick also said the NFF hoped Germany would assist Nigeria in creating developmental programmes for women’s football and capacity building for referees and coaches.
Channels TV quotes him saying: “We keenly desire to partner with the DFB (Germany Football Federation) and the German League”.

“The NFF is presently doing a lot in the area of development of the game in Nigeria.
“Now, we are requesting for support for our development programmes for women’s football, as well as capacity building for our referees and coaches”.
Pinnick also stated the importance of Nigeria as a footballing nation adding that he hoped Germany would help the country on youth development and make the local league the main hub for the National Teams.
In a related development, Amaju Pinnick has reacted to the lawsuit allegedly served the FA body by former coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi.
According to the President, the NFF “have a lot of things to bother ourselves about”.
