Senator Shehu Sani tasked the Nigerian governors not only to claim being President Muhammadu Buhari’s followers but also emulate him in actions.
According to Daily Postб Sani, representing Kaduna Central, also stressed the importance for Nigerians to be vigilant regarding the way governors perform their duties.
The politician was quoted as saying:
“One man alone cannot change Nigeria, as it is a collective responsibility of every Nigerian because the way and manner President Mohammadu Buhari and the Vice President, Professor Osibanjo declared their assets, other political leaders should emulate them and do same, if not, the President and his vice will be fighting the anti-corruption war alone.”
He insisted on exercising transparent system in the government adding that country citizens should form vigilante groups to help the Code of Conduct Bureau with performing its functions.

“It is an irony in a country like Nigeria where people parade their certificates, claiming they made first class in their first degree and other institutions they attended and how they want you to know how brilliant they were when they were in school but they don’t want you to know what they kept in their bank accounts when they assumed public offices.
“It is necessary for those governors and even members of the National Assembly not to claim to be followers of Buhari but should emulate him. They should not be ashamed to declare publicly what they have.”
Meanwhile the loud corruption trial against the Senate president Bukola Saraki continues. The Red Chamber head is accused of misusing public funds while serving as Kwara state governor.
