PHOTOS, VIDEO: Furious Mob Beat Woman Caught Eating Her 2-Year-Old Daughter Alive

A mother was beaten to a pulp by an angry mob after she was caught eating her daughter’s scalp in Gopalpur, West Bengal, India.

Pramila Mondal, a mother of three, was seriously attacked by her neighbours after she was found slicing off and eating her baby’s flesh. Fortunately, the woman’s brother-in-law Dablu was nearby when the attack took place, he wrested the crying child out of her hands and rushed her to hospital.

He said: “It was around noon and I was resting at home when I heard loud cries of Bharati. I ran to check on her but there the scene I saw was beyond shocking. Bharati was bleeding profusely as Pramila was eating the flesh of her head. I immediately snatched away Bharati from Pramila and rushed her to Malda Medical College and Hospital where she is admitted to ICU.”

As soon as villagers learnt about the spine-chilling incident they immediately ran to Mondal’s house, tied her up and were beating her until the police officers arrived. The police  dispersed the angry mob and handed the woman, who reportedly had problems with alcohol, over to medics at the Malda Medical College and Hospital.

Both mother and daughter are recieving treatment for injuries. Mondal confessed to the crime but she couldn’t explain her actions. And although the incident took place a month ago the story ending as well as whether the woman stood trial or not is unknown.
