There is a new discovery in the music industry makes music from your body movement.

This new discovery, a high-tech booty drum, gives a new use to your booty aside from what you have been using it for. The booty drum records the movements a person makes when twerking and turns them into awesome musical beats.

People without good or seductive singing voices or awesome guitar skills can now make music using an often ignored part of their body.

The new device was designed and developed by headphone brand AIAIA.

This innovative high-tech device, whose working principles are detailed in the video below, lets people make music with their derrière.

“We want to see if it’s possible to change the perception of twerking through placing it in a technology-driven, creative context and letting the dance do the talking,” headphone brand AIAIAI explained in a statement.

How it works: Once attached to a person’s behind, the device uses special sensors to detect and record the movements that an individual’s posterior performs while they are busy twerking. The unique directions and velocities of these movements are then turned into beats.

AIAIAI worked closely with Dutch design and technology company OWOW when creating this rather odd musical device, now known as the Booty Drum.

They also got help from a musician named Branko, from Portugal, and from a professional dancer who goes by the name of Twerk Queen Louise. The end goal of this collaboration was to find a way to make music from body movements.

The main idea behind the project was to provide AIAIAI headphone-users and other music lovers with new music but in the end the booty drum was invented.
