Jamaicans swept the medals available at the 4×100 men and women race as the country’s female athletes broke the existing Championship record at the IIAF World Championships.
Usain Bolt, who surged to his third gold medal in a week at the 2015 Athletics Championships, anchored the Jamaican team to victory in the men’s 4×100 meter relay in Beijing Saturday in a time of 37.36 seconds.
According to CNN, a United States team featuring the fastest man in the world this year, Justin Gatlin, looked to have finished second in 37.77 but was later disqualified after a disastrous final changeover between Tyson Gay and Mike Rodgers.

The win means that Jamaica has now taken 4x100m gold at the World Championships for the fourth straight year.
In the female category, double Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Veronica Campbell-Brown, Natasha Morrison and Elaine Thompson claimed a second successive gold in the women’s 4x100m relay final on their way to establishing a championship record time of 41.07seconds.
