It appears John Stones might not be joining Chelsea after all.

This on-going transfer saga may be reaching its climax as his club, Everton FC are unwilling to bulge and have refused point-blank to sell the 21year old inspite of several bids, the most recent being £38m (N14billion) for the center-back who submitted a transfer request earlier in the week.
If the club is resolute and didn’t cave in by the closure of the summer transfer window, it would be a moral victory for all clubs outside the top five in the EPL.

To make a stand against the financial clout of Abramovich will undoubtedly have its ramifications in the so called ‘little clubs’, who are often depleted of their promising academy players through stupendous offers they find difficult or too good to turn down.
Everton FC manager, Roberto Martinez, has stated how proud of the club’s stance he is and vow to look after Stones. He insists he has great plans for the wantaway defender who handed in his transfer request on Tuesday in order to force a move to Chelsea.

“During this tough period we are going to be there for him. We have great ambition, desire and great plans for him,”.
“We want to be a winning team and we need to keep our best performers and clearly, John is a big part of our future,”.
“We are a big club with incredible tradition and we will carry on giving him everything we can”.
“We are going to look after John, we are going to understand him”, he told Eurosport.
Roberto Martinez has long been an advocate for the closure of the transfer window at the commencement of the league season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea, the EPL Champions are now turning their attention to Monaco and Tunisian International defender, Aymen Abdennour.
