Well-known American painter and photographer Chuck Close, 1940, was paralyzed in 1988 because of spinal artery burst. He had lost the ability to feel anything down from the neck. Close says, the art saved him. Through daily rehabilitation he slowly got back some strength, and with the help of a brace that enabled him to hold the paintbrush tight he started working again. Amazing, but the paintings he creates now are no worse than those he painted before he got paralyzed! Check out his stunning art:
