Bank customers across the country are in a last minute rush to get their Bank Verification Number (BVN) as the as the June ending deadline set by the Central Bank Of Nigeria (CBN) nears.

The BVN is a policy introduced by the CBN to to offer security and forestall hacking into people’s accounts through Internet fraud.

The frenzy created by the approaching deadline has turned most bank branches into a market place of some sort, as customers now throng theses facilities to get the number over fears that their bank accounts may get frozen.

While some Nigerians have welcome the policy is a development that will guarantee more security to monies deposited in banks, others say fraudsters might as well develop a more sophisticated way of hacking into people’s accounts.
