Meet The 9 Members Of Dissolved NNPC Board (PHOTOS)

On Friday, President Muhammadu Buhari dissolved the board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).


The notice was given to the board through a letter signed by Danladi Kifasi, head of the civil service of the federation.


Femi Adesina, presidential aide, told SaharaReporters that “you can’t make changes without having new leadership” and that Buhari remains “committed to cleaning up the system, and wants accountability and transparency in the oil industry.”


The 9 members of the dissolved board are:


Dr. Joseph T. Dawha – Group Managing Director


NNPC-Board-Joseph-Dawha


Mr. Bernard O.N. Otti – Group Executive Director, Finance & Accounts


Dr. Dan Efebo Group Executive Director, Corporate Services


Alhaji Abdullahi Bukar – Member


Mr. Danladi Wadzani – Member

However reports have emerged that the president might appoint himself the petroleum minister.


A political associate of the president who spoke to Reuters said, “Nigeria’s oil sector is so dirty that nobody’s hands are clean enough to do the surgical changes needed”.
