After Moves to impeach him, Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola has finally began the part payment of salary arrears he owes his workers.
Osun workers are being owed salaries since Febraury, and with the new developement the local government workers have started to collect their March and April 2015 salaries.

The alerts for the payment have started coming in since Friday June 26, 2015 afternoon.

It’s also said that other categories in Osun would start to get their salaries early next week beginning from Monday June 29, 2015 as promised by Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
The Osun labour force had rejected Aregbesola’s offer to pay them two to three months and return to their duties posts.

The demanded that the workers need to be paid all salaries being owed before taking down the ongoing strike in the state.
State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Jacob Adekomi had revealed this to Osun government during a meeting with government officials in the state.
